May 23 – He Will Lead You Till the End!

“For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.” (Psalm 48:14)

The Lord will lead us completely—through all time and even until death. That is why He has promised to be with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

In different stages of life:

• Parents guide us in our childhood
• Teachers guide us in our student years
• Superiors guide us at work

But the One who leads us till the very end is the Lord our God. He alone remains our guide forever.

Does life end with death? No. Even beyond death, the Lord leads us into His eternal kingdom— Into a land of light; Into a kingdom with no night, and to the fountains of living waters.

David surrendered his life into the hands of the Lord and accepted Him as his Shepherd. In the end, he declared with confidence: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:6). This was his unshakable faith.

Consider the life of Paul. When the Lord met him on the road to Damascus, he surrendered himself saying, “What do You want me to do?” From then on, he went where the Spirit led him; he ministered according to God’s direction; and he wrote letters under divine guidance. He affirmed: “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)

At the end of his life, Paul declared: “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness…” (2 Timothy 4:6–8). What a victorious finish!

Dear child of God, This God is your God forever and ever. He has promised: “For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters.” (Revelation 7:17)

He will lead you in life; He will lead you through death; and He will lead you into eternity.

Verse for further meditation: “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” (Psalm 90:2)
