Oct 02 – There Shall Be No More Delay!

“There shall be delay no longer.” (Revelation 10:6)

Once, as my father was on his way to a restaurant, a thought suddenly came into his heart, almost like a warning: “Your money is going to be lost.” Therefore, he decided that he would make good use of the money he had and spend it for worthwhile purposes.

After going to the restaurant and having his meal, he bought food for an elderly, poor man. He began spending his money as quickly as possible on good and useful things. Finally, when he went to purchase a few more items, he discovered that someone had stolen the remaining money he had been carrying while he was travelling.

As he stood there grieving over the loss of his money, the Lord impressed a profound truth upon his heart: “My son, this is how your life is. The more of your time you spend for the Lord, the greater the satisfaction and fulfilment you will experience. Before Satan steals away your health and well-being, live a life that is pleasing to the Lord.” The Lord taught him a great truth through that experience.

That day onward, my father determined to labour for the Lord day and night. By about four o’clock every morning, he would walk along the streets loudly proclaiming, “Jesus is alive! Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!” At six in the morning, he would go to the railway station and distribute around two thousand gospel tracts.

Every evening, he would go to the hospital ministry and lead at least four patients to the Lord. At night, he would attend house prayer meetings, where he would pray fervently and encourage others. At other times, he would share the message of the Lord in various meetings.

Every Sunday, he would go to the prison ministry. During holidays, he would join other ministers in going to villages to share the Gospel. He made full use of his time.

One day, the Lord told him, “You must write books.” My father began the effort, and the Holy Spirit graciously enabled him to complete more than 800 books.

Twice, he was struck by severe paralysis, leaving the right side of his body without movement. On another occasion, his vehicle was involved in a terrible accident. He suffered severe breathing difficulties and struggled for his life.

At such times, he had the sense that the daytime God had given him was coming to an end. Yet God extended his days and graciously gave him more years of life and opportunities to serve Him.

Children of God, we have come into the end time. The prophecies concerning the end times recorded in Scripture are being fulfilled. This is a time to prepare ourselves to meet the Lord. And the Lord is reminding us to be ready always.

We must not presume that we will always have tomorrow. The time, strength, health, opportunities, and resources God has entrusted to us are precious. Let us use them faithfully for His glory while we still have the opportunity.

Verse for further meditation: “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” (Revelation 14:15)
