Sep 27 – He Will Renew Your Strength!

“He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.” (Isaiah 40:29)

There is hardly anyone in this world who has not experienced weariness at some point in life. Believers and ministers become weary. The poor become weary, and the wealthy become weary. Regardless of our circumstances, weariness is an experience that can touch every human life.

Satan often uses weariness as a weapon against believers. But the Lord, in times of weariness, gives you strength, increases your might, and renews your courage. He anoints you with the oil of gladness so that, even in those difficult moments, you may praise Him and rejoice in His presence.

Consider the experience of Jonah: “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple.” (Jonah 2:7) Whenever weariness comes upon you, stir up your faith and remember the Lord.

Jonah had run away from the will of God. He was swallowed by a great fish and found himself in the belly of the fish, where he became deeply weary and distressed. Yet, even in the midst of his weariness, he looked to the Lord and prayed with renewed faith. The Lord heard his prayer, and the fish came to the shore and vomited Jonah onto dry land. His weariness was replaced with renewed courage, and he went to Nineveh and began to preach.

There was once a businessman who experienced loss after loss in his business. Weariness and despair took hold of him, and he even began contemplating suicide. Because of his deep emotional distress, painful red-coloured sores appeared all over his body. The doctors advised him to remain in bed and not even attempt to walk about.

In the depths of despair, he took a sheet of paper and wrote a letter to his wife: “My dear wife, tomorrow I will no longer be alive. Please make arrangements for my funeral service.”

The room where he was staying happened to be directly above a place where a spiritual gathering was taking place. The believers below were worshipping the Lord with great joy, singing and praising Him with enthusiasm.

Hearing their worship, he slowly came downstairs and entered the prayer room. At that very moment, the minister who was preaching based his message on this verse: “cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Those words touched his heart deeply. He thought, “If there is Someone who cares for me, why should I continue to worry and become discouraged?” That was all it took. Suddenly, like a flood breaking through a dam, the power of God came upon him. Strength from above took hold of him. He encouraged himself in the Lord, saying, “From this day onward, I will not give myself over to weariness.” From that day, a great renewal began in his life.

Dear children of God, the Lord who cares for you will change your weariness into strength and will surely do a miracle in your life. Your present condition is not the end of your story. When your strength fails, His strength is sufficient. Do not allow weariness to silence your faith.
