Aug 01 – A New Month!

“This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity.” (Psalm 118:24–25)

By His grace, the Lord has brought us safely through the first seven months of this year and has enabled us to see the first day of August. The psalmist declares, “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” May this month be the one in which you are filled with the presence of God, rejoice in His goodness, and progress from victory to victory.

Your times are in the Lord’s hands. Commit each day into His care, praying, “Lord, let Your presence go before me. Lead me in Your love.” As you cast your burdens and anxieties upon Him and trust Him to deliver you, He will surely take you by the hand and guide your every step.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew 6:34) Just as each day has its own sunrise and sunlight, so the Lord’s mercies are new every morning. “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22–23)

Begin each day with God, and praise Him whenever the opportunity arises. King David praised the Lord seven times a day. He declared: “I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.” (Psalm 16:8)

The challenges, responsibilities, and struggles of each day may seem like horses pulling the chariot of your life in different directions. Yet it is the Lord Himself who holds the reins and directs your journey. May He lead you safely throughout this month, surrounding you with His protection and sustaining you through prayer.

The Scriptures declare: “Therefore understand today that the Lord your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you.” (Deuteronomy 9:3)

As this new month unfolds, surrender yourself completely to the will of God. Continually examine whether you are walking within His divine purpose.

The Lord has an eternal purpose, a perfect plan, and a definite calling for your life. His desire is to conform you to the image of His Son. “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son.” (Romans 8:29)

The Lord always works for your good. People may intend to harm you, but God is able to turn every evil into good and bring blessing into your life.

Verse for further meditation: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
