May 20 – He Will Lead You in His Way!
“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17)
When we surrender ourselves into the hands of the Lord, He leads us according to His perfect will. He guides us in the right paths. And when He leads, it also means He is with us.
That is why King David said: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me…” (Psalm 23:4)
Today, many try to guide themselves: “I don’t need anyone to lead me—I have wisdom and understanding.” But the Bible reminds us: What seems right to man can end in destruction. Others are unknowingly led by: evil influences, fleshly desires, addictions and sinful habits. Only the Lord can lead us safely.
When Joseph was young, he may have wondered: Why did my brothers sell me?, Why Egypt?, Why all these false accusations against me?, Why such unjust imprisonment? It may have felt confusing and painful. But it was only later, when God lifted him up, as ruler in Egypt—that he understood that God had been leading him all along.
He told his brothers: “It was not you who sent me here, but God.” (Genesis 45:5–8). What looked like suffering, became God’s perfect plan.
The God who led Joseph, David and Daniel…will surely lead you too. Therefore do not be confused and ask, “Where should I go? What should I do?” But just trust in the Lord and He will guide you step by step.
I just look back at the life of my father, Pastor Sam Jebadurai. After his education, he started off working for a provision store for about a year. He then worked as a Teacher for one year. And thereafter, by the grace of God, he worked in the Income Tax Department for sixteen years. The Spirit of God led him into full time ministry, from his Government Service. Through every stage of his life, he held on to strong faith that the Lord who led him until then, will continue to lead him. God, who guided and led my father so wonderfully, will also lead you.
Dear child of God, You are not walking alone. The Lord teaches you what is best, leads you in the right way and walks with you always. Trust His leading – His way is always perfect.
Verse for further meditation: “Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely upon his God.” (Isaiah 50:10)
