May 24 – He Will Deliver and Set You Free!

“If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.” (Daniel 3:17)

The Lord not only leads us—He also delivers and sets us free. The above verse was not just a declaration of faith by Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, but a proven testimony. On one hand, God delivered them from the king’s wrath; on the other, He rescued them from the blazing fiery furnace.

Today, what do you need to be delivered from? Are you under the bondage of crushing debts, shame and reproach, sickness, oppression from people or generational curses? Whatever it may be, the Lord is able to deliver you. He will rescue and set you free!

“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36). “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32). “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Do you need deliverance from lack and poverty? Declare in faith: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” (2 Corinthians 8:9)

Do you need healing from sickness? Declare these promises: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:17). “By His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5). “By His stripes you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

Do you seek deliverance from curses? Hold on to these truths: God turns curses into blessings (Deuteronomy 23:5). Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13). There shall be no more curse (Revelation 22:3).

Do you need freedom from sinful habits? Look to the Cross. “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness…” (1 Peter 2:24)

Come to Him with a repentant heart: “Lord, forgive my sins. Give me the assurance of forgiveness and the joy of salvation.” He will surely deliver you from every bondage.

Verse for further meditation: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
