May 14 – The Word of Testimony!

“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” (Revelation 12:11)

We have been meditating on the spiritual weapons that turn defeat into victory. One of the most powerful among them is the word of your testimony—a life that truly reflects Christ.

Foundation of True Testimony: If you desire victory, a holy life with a living testimony is essential. God works together with those who walk in holiness. The foundation of such a life is being filled with the Holy Spirit: “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me…” (Acts 1:8)

What is True Testimony? Testimony is not merely standing in church once a week and saying, “My headache is gone” or “My pain is healed.” True testimony is a life that speaks louder than words and a life that can impact the observers to see and glorify God through it. Your life must speak, not just your lips.

But if we preach the Gospel but lose our testimony: People will not listen, They will not believe and They will not come to Christ.

This is why Mahatma Gandhi once said: “I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians.” He said this after experiencing discrimination from those who claimed to be Christians. Their lives contradicted their message.

Even today, some new believers turn away when they see inconsistent Christian lives. A newly saved believer, despite strong opposition and even threats, stood firm. But when he saw the very pastor who baptized him secretly smoking, it deeply shook him—and led him into backsliding.

“Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” (Psalm 119:11). A victorious life is: Rooted in holiness, Grounded in the Word of God and Empowered by the Holy Spirit. It is this kind of testimony that overcomes Satan.

When you walk through dark valleys, the enemy watches closely—to see whether your life matches your confession.

Dear child of God, A holy, consistent life will open the doors of heaven for you.

Live in such a way that your life becomes your testimony.

Verse for further meditation: “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
