Nov 08 – The Voice of the Holy Spirit!

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth… and He will tell you things to come” (John 16:13).

Many times, we find ourselves at crossroads in life, uncertain about which way to go. We have to choose one path from among several, yet we lack sufficient knowledge about those paths. Our own wisdom is limited.

But the Holy Spirit searches and knows all things. He understands everything perfectly and is the only One who can lead us along the right path. When He leads us, we will never go astray. The Lord’s ways bring everlasting blessings into our lives.

What a wonderful privilege it is to have the Holy Spirit with us and dwelling within us! Continue to read the Scriptures, and the Spirit who guides you will also grant you wisdom to speak. “For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say” (Luke 12:12).

At the right moment, the Holy Spirit will place wise and appropriate words on your tongue, enabling you to speak with great wisdom and learning. Everyone marvelled at the words Peter spoke. Consider how much of the Bible contains the words of Peter, an uneducated fisherman. The Holy Spirit has also preserved the letters he wrote as part of the Scriptures!

How wonderfully the Holy Spirit guided Paul and Barnabas in their ministry, giving them divine revelations (Acts 13:2)! He who directed them to begin their ministry continued to guide them through its middle stages and right to the end.

Surrender not only your hands but also your heart to the Lord, so that He may guide you. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. When you surrender yourself completely to Him, you need not be anxious about anything. Cast your entire burden upon the Lord and rest in Him.

After Philip had been mightily used by God in Samaria, the Holy Spirit instructed him to go towards the desert road leading to Gaza (Acts 8:26). In the same way, the Lord will speak to you through a clear voice, through definite plans, or through a gentle whisper.

Children of God, the mighty God who guides you is the Master of your life. He alone is the Lord of your life.

Verse for further meditation: “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left” (Isaiah 30:21).
