Sep 04 – Wherever He Goes!

“These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes.” (Revelation 14:4)

When the Apostle John was in the Spirit and looked toward Mount Zion in the heavenly kingdom, he saw 144,000 standing there, with the Father’s name written on their foreheads.

“These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes.” Yes, there was a firm determination in their steps—the determination to follow the Lamb always, at all times, and under every circumstance. Those who follow His footsteps will never lose their way, even when they may seem foolish in the eyes of the world.

Consecrate your feet to the Lord. Establish your steps firmly in Christ. Jesus Christ lived on this earth and became the guide to the path of holiness. The Bible says: “For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps.” (1 Peter 2:21)

A sister once fasted and prayed, saying, “Lord, I want to see Sadhu Sundar Singh.” The Lord gave her a vision. In that vision, she saw Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, walking ahead, with Sadhu Sundar Singh following Him. What a remarkable sight! Wherever Jesus placed His feet, Sadhu Sundar Singh placed his feet in exactly the same place and continued along the path Jesus had taken. Sadhu Sundar Singh had made it the goal of his life to follow Christ, even to the extent of walking barefoot without wearing sandals.

Just as Christ perfectly fulfilled the Father’s will, we too become followers of Christ’s footsteps when we wholeheartedly seek to fulfil His will. Those footsteps lead us toward holiness and ultimately toward heaven.

Therefore, examine yourself carefully. Is what I am saying right? If Christ were in this situation, what would He have said? Are my ways aligned with His ways? Let these questions lead you into honest self-examination.

Christ walked according to the Scriptures. He gave Himself so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled. The Scriptures were a lamp to His feet and a light to His path. Jesus Christ Himself is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Jesus said: “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” (John 10:9)

Dear children of God, if you desire to follow the footsteps of Christ, follow the Word of God. Obey His words. Make a firm decision that you will live to please Christ alone.

Verse for further meditation: “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
